Is Porn Harmless? Is the free-no-strings-sex culture good for humanity?

I'll start with this. I'm not innocent. Not on any level. I've done things I regret that have have caused pain to myself and others.

I've taken the delicious-looking poisoned bait and brought a world of suffering into my life with it.

Someone recently said to me that nowadays, "love is dead".

Looking around at the broken families and broken people, it seems true.

It's often been said that God and the Bible are "uptight", "old fashioned", and "anti-sex". If you look at reality, you will see that the designer and inventor of sex is anything but anti-sex. He just wants it to be used in a way that builds love, society, family, respect, love, rather than tearing it all down and leaving people empty, crying broken shells that have been discarded. Humans weren't designed to be disposable products, but to be in close, loving, committed marriages when this most intimate of acts is enjoyed.

The notion that religious morality, specifically Biblical morality, is anti-sex is absurd.

Sex is designed for reproduction. Barring this process through physical or chemical methods is anti-sex. Those who block out the creative process of full natural sex, as is typical of couples not in committed long-term relationships, are the ones who are afraid of nature.

Sex is designed to be intimate and pleasurable. Those who love each other experience more intimacy and pleasure in sex. (here are the findings of one study https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2014/08/140819125944.htm)
Those who want to separate sex from love experience less pleasure, thus if anyone is anti-sex, it's the anti-pleasure crowd.

Sex is designed to bond a husband and wife together and strengthen and build the relationship. The hormone oxytocin in women and men and vasopressin in men, serve to bond a couple together in such a way that they are physically and emotionally going to desire exclusively the romantic partner and be uninterested in other members of the opposite sex. We can't deny the scientific facts that are revealed by studying our biology and behaviour patterns. Thus if anyone is anti-sex, it's the anti-bonding crowd.

And here we are talking about casual sex that is unpaid and unprofessional, as opposed to being part of a job where girls as young as 18 are pressured into acts they don't want to do, such as anal penetration with sharp objects, and with people they don't want to do them with, such as men with syphilis that they find personally repulsive.

Over 60% of women in the sex work industry have symptoms of PTSD.
The average life expectancy for these girls is 50 years, over 20 years less than average for all women.
70-95% of prostitutes experience physical assault.
60-75% of prostitutes are raped while working as a prostitute.
95% of prostitutes experience sexual harassment that in other industries would result in legal action
Prostitutes are raped 8-10 times a year

That does not sound like a glorious lifestyle to me.

I think being treated with love and respect sounds a lot nicer than being treated like an object.

Porn is bad for both the makers of it and the consumers of it.

Disease, depression, suicide, abuse, rape, drugs, ruined reputation, deterioration of personal relationships, difficulty forming normal loving romantic relationships of trust and respect, and inability to become aroused or enjoy sex with a romantic partner are among the ailments that afflict the performers. Sex wasn't meant to be public and it wasn't mesnt to be a performance. It is meant to be a private, loving act of shared intimacy between a husband and wife (featuring ideally love, respect, commitment, trust, readiness to take shared responsibility for offspring that may result from the union).

Inability to obtain or maintain an erection, inability to respond normally to a real live woman, dehumanizing women, increased feelings and thoughts of violence or aggression towards women, loss or damage of personal relationships (particularly the most intimate/meaningful/supportive relationship of girlfriend or wife who is likely to feel hurt and become less able to respond sexually to her man when she imagines what he's thinking of while touching her) are among the issues that afflict consumers.

If divorce and family breakdown follow, the innocent children will suffer too.

This is such an important topic to address because it has become very prevalent in our culture and is affecting people from younger and younger ages as young children accidentally access confusing, startling content.

The mentality is that "everybody does it" and "it's normal" or "it's a need" and "it's not a big deal."

Watching porn changes the chemistry of your brain. If affects the viewer in serious, damaging ways.

Producing porn affects the people who are doing it enormously.

No father who loves his daughter wants her to expose herself to countless men to be used for their momentary gratification at the cost of her heart, mind, and soul.

Every girl (and most of them start on their 18th birthday since they've been getting groomed as minors) is somebody's daughter. Each one is a human being.

They are not legally old enough to drink, but they are deemed old enough to throw their futures down the toilet because they are a short-shelf-life commodity to be thrown crying and shamed and alone into the gutter once they've been used up and are depressed, suicidal, and drug-addicted.

Porn destroys lives. Hers. Yours.

Every man (or woman) who decides to change, wants to change their behavior can create a ripple effect that will change other lives as well.
