Ben Shapiro's "Socialism is theft" speech video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulZGiA8t5sM

I don't agree with Ben Shapiro on everything, even starting with his foundation, his worldview/religion since he is a Jew and I am a Christian, but he has a lot of interesting and common sense things to say on a variety of topics.

I think common sense has largely been lost in today's generations. To hear the same age-old sensible truths again in the face of all the fluffy brainwashing and nonsense that we are inundated with regularly by the media is refreshing to a lot of people. I actually don't watch or read the news very often, for a few reasons. Firstly, I have very little trust in most TV and radio news stations. Secondly, hearing about tragedies and deaths and shootings and rapes daily that I can't do anything about is stressful and upsetting and offers no benefit to anyone. I get news relevant to me sent to my inbox that I read from time to time.

The name Ben Shapiro was first heard by me in the context of him being called names and wished death in the absence of any solid accusations of anything against him.

If the biased media and the general populace hates someone this way, it's usually a sign that it's a reasonable, smart, good person who is saying things they don't like that destroy their ideas, which frustrates and upsets them to the point of being willing to kill the person.

Ben Shapiro said in one speech (not this one) that it's more profitable for people to read and hear long exchanges of information rather than little new snippets and it makes quite a bit of sense.

I certainly don't want to live under a socialist or communist government, and have difficulty understanding why anyone would if they would look at the historical track record when these types of government systems were in power and how many people were inflicted wrongly with suffering, starvation, poverty, imprisonment, and death.

A communist government is one where the individual is a slave to the state, not allowed free thought, behavior, belief, or speech. Conformity is required. Christianity is entirely prohibited.

I know quite little of the history of communism/socialism, but am very  much on board with the idea that giving people things for free without them having to work for it will breed laziness and a new kind of inequality where the some people work hard to support not only themselves, but also everyone else who would rather sponge off the work of others.
