Unzip this stuff into your WC2 folder.
Then to run the game run loader.exe
Ignore/allow any virus/malware warnings you get. The loader uses the VirtualProtectEx() API function so it can patch the WC2 process. Using this function gets antivirus etc. very excited, but it is 100% safe.
Uploaded files:There is one other issue when using this with older versions of war2combat.
If you are using Loader.exe then you aren't using iL's loader which starts his AH and other patches.
If you want to use iL's loader then you can replace your Warcraft II bne.exe with the attached version here which has the plugin framework patches already applied. Then you can run combat normally.
The only problem with doing it this way is it will break insight, so you can't watch/record insight replays.
So from plugins/ah/insight you can have any 2, but not all 3. Your choice.
